What is HPV?

• HPV (Human Papillomavirus) is a virus transmitted through sexual contact.
• It is commonly found in women beginning sexual activity.
• Some HPV types can cause cervical cancer, vaginal cancer, genital warts, etc.
• Cervical cancer is one of the leading causes of death among Thai women.

Prevention Against:

• Protects against about 90% of the high-risk cancer-causing strains
• Protects against HPV types 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58
• Helps reduce the risk of cervical cancer, vaginal cancer, and genital warts

Recommended for:

Women and men aged 9–26 years (vaccination is recommended before becoming sexually active)

Women aged 27–45 years can also get vaccinated (consult a doctor).

Get 2–3 doses depending on age and  gender.
